Activity Overview
Take turns throwing and deflecting the flying disc across the yard, beach, or park at the goal - 21 points wins, or go pro and slot the flying disc for an INSTANT WIN!
Activity Instructions
Set up the to-go goals approximately 10-20 feet away from each other. (You are recommended to extend the distance based on the skill level of the players.) You will face the slots toward each other.
Each partnership will have one partner stand behind each goal. Partnerships will take turns throwing the frisbee from behind their Kan toward the opposite Kan, and the receiving partner has the opportunity to hit the frisbee into or onto the receiving Kan to help get points.
- A thrown frisbee that touches the outside of the receiving Kan with the assistance of the receiving partner receives 1 point.
- A thrown frisbee that touches the outside of the receiving Kan without the assistance of the receiving partner receives 2 points.
- A thrown frisbee that goes through the top of the receiving Kan with or without the assistance of the receiving partner receives 3 points.
- A thrown frisbee that goes through the front slot of the receiving Kan results in an instant win!
Play until one partnership has achieved at least 21 points.
Alternate way to play:
You can follow the same rules for scoring, but play until a partnership has won exactly 21 points. If they go over in points, then they go down to 15 points and have to work their way back up. Each partnership has an equal number of rounds, so it's possible for a round to end with several partners having tied. In this case, keep playing until one partnership has won by two points.
Suggested Use
Play outside during the lunch hour or during a team retreat/activity.
