Wellness Coaching

For active and retired faculty, staff, administrators, and their spouses

About

BYU Employee Wellness student employees are providing wellness coaching to BYU faculty, staff, their spouses, and BYU retirees for free. If you are a student interested in wellness coaching, click here for student wellness coaching options.

Your coach can meet with you one-on-one to help you create goals focused on your physical wellness, including basic muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and basic nutrition. Often, a Wellness Coach will help you learn a few techniques or workouts you can do at home or in the gym, exercise with proper form, or learn general nutrition principles.

Note: The wellness coaches are NOT certified personal trainers.

You will need to get a wristband from RB 112 in order to access the fitness centers on campus. In addition, the wristband will give you the opportunity to participate in the Y-fitness classes. These are free for full-time faculty and staff, or it costs $45 a semester if you are not full-time. If you have any more questions about the wristbands you can call the RB information desk at (801) 422-3644 or visit this page to view wristband eligibility.

If you can't find a time that works for you, visit one of the links below for on-demand workout videos.

Note: This program is different from YBeFit, which is more comprehensive, utilizes machines and other metrics to monitor progress, and is generally a multi-session program. Employee Wellness Coaching exists to be a simpler, lower-commitment program in case the YBeFit program does not work for you at the moment but you still want to work with a coach on your wellness journey.
