Activity Overview
By strategic throwing and placement of batons and kubbs, the goal of the game is to be the first team to knock over the opposing team’s kubbs and the king.

Activity Instructions
To set up the game, set up the King in the middle of the playing area, then set up the boundary lines with the wooden stakes.

Divide up the kubb blocks evenly amongst the teams along the back boundary line. Each team will take turns using the batons to try to knock down the opposing team's kubb blocks. Each kubb block that is knocked down by one team must be tossed by the other team into the one team's side, which are set up where they land and must be knocked down first before the other kubb blocks on that side can be targeted. All tossed kubb blocks that fall outside the boundary line may be set up on the closest boundary line.

To toss batons on each team's turn, the kubb block closest to the King block on your team's side becomes the throwing line. If the game has just started, players must toss batons from the back boundary line on their side.

A team wins when they have knocked down all of the opposing team's kubb blocks as well as the King block. Be careful though- if you accidentally knock down the King block before all of the opposing team's kubb blocks, your team loses!

Suggested Use
Play outdoors during the lunch hour or during a team retreat/activity.
