- This activity take 20 minutes
- Each set has 4 puzzles in 4 different colors
- Each set allows for 4 groups of up to 4 people per group (16 people total) - if participants are willing to think out loud and describe what they are doing, others can be observers to note patterns that limit thinking.

Activity Overview
Challenging Assumptions helps participants learn how to let go of old patterns to find new creative solutions. This deceptively simple puzzle helps improve creative thinking, problem-solving & innovation skills. It raises awareness about the benefits and limitations of using previous experience when trying to solve new problems. Watch this visual overview.
Activity Instructions
The basic activity is to work as groups to put together a puzzle. More specific instructions with the set and HERE.
Suggested Use
Used this as an ice-breaker or a challenging ‘warm-up’ activity in advance of tackling ‘real-life’ problems or for a problem solving or planning session, Use this exercise at the start of any creative thinking or problem-solving process or to illustrate the need to make a significant change in strategy!
